He traveled back and forth through time more than Marty McFly could ever dream and he beat the crap out of that evil Voyager satellite (we never should have sent them Chuck Berry). Not bad for a green-blooded hobgoblin. Now shut up... Shatner's acting!

that was a nice scene, it were. i guess i was about 15yo at the time... tightly-sewn in to a shell of nerdlyness and machismo... yet i do think i cried or at least got extremely misty-eyed.

IMO nimoy was an excellent:

stage actor
voice actor
director
writer
humorist
documentary narrator
series regular / guest on many famous shows
something else in the arts as well... can't remember right now.

...people who only knew him from star trek really missed the boat on this guy.

That's right! He really got into photography in his later years! yes, you choked up at that scene, Nic. I know, because I did... the benefits of shared experience with someone your own age! Hell, I choked up the second time I saw it at the theater! Man... when was the last time you went to see a new movie more than once at a theater? I'm gonna say, for me, Pulp Fiction. A sad part of the wonders of youth that has left us behind.
