Big M's advantage is that you can't play the gamer's games on a Chromebook. Either the software won't do, else the hardware isn't up to it.

Chrome OS does not allow for installations of third-party execution files [".exe"] or any file which will modify the core. People persistently ask if Skype can be installed:no; if Word can be installed:no; if myfavoritegame.exe can be installed:no; if myaccountingsoftware.exe can be installed:no; if Java can be installed:no...etc.

right, but it sounds like we're talking about corporations and businesses, primarily.

this is like the return of smart terminals... something which could certainly save lots of bread and allow the company to exercise greater control and security, i imagine.

That's why the corps often use something like Linux, where the programs do not rewrite the Kernel (the core OS).
