I am new at this pinmame thing. I downloaded the visual install pack
I I downloaded the atlantis game nothing happen now what? please can I get some help?
if I can get step by step help to get started I would be in your debt.
slow learner but repetition will get me through. I own many pinball machines but could never own them all so if I can play them virtually then I up for it
please anyone to help an idiot to get started

Ok, first. There is Visual Pinball, and Visual Pinmame. Two different things. Visual Pinmame plays games that use roms. Visual Pinball games do not have roms.

My guess is Atlantic is a Visual Pinmame. Which means you also need to install Visual Pinmame.
The Visual install pack is Visual Pinball only.

I'm new to the virtual pinball thing too. I have had some success and some failures. I used the VIP installer fron PN home page. http://www.pinballnirvana.com/UpDownload-index-req-viewdownloaddetails-lid-1672-ttitle-Visual_Install_Pack.htmlI Down load the table files then un-zip them. Then run the extracted table file. The ROM file is not un-ziped. The un-zipped Rom folder gets pasted into the 'ROM' folder in Program Files/Pinball/ROM's. That's is about all I know. I got some help here from PN forums. Here is a link to that discussion. Ok, that installer (visual install pack) will install vp8 only. You will need a .exe to play vp9. THIS IS SEPARATE FROM VPINMAME.

I'd be glad to help you both with anything if you want to post here. When I started here in 2008 I couldn't even send a picture as an attachment. So this would be "paying it forward".

vp also lets one play pins that don't use roms like all the originals
vp8 tables do not for the most part play well if at all in vp9
if it were me I'd try an original first then go onto the harder-to-install packages
imo anyways

originals as well as the ones that use Roms

Actually there are a lot of vp8's here. Since they're older they don't take much to run.

this site is the oldest in a long line of pinball sites so yeah
there's tons of vp8 pins here along with other things made with vp8
like trade stimulators, pachinkos, bingos, slot machines,etc.
