I get just the red alert but on clicking no message and remains blank

Try clicking the "Show All" when you click on the Notifications Alerts.
See if they are there.

it was working a month ago, i do know that and could be a Chrome update you can never tell

Can you click the Notification Alert bell at top, and click Preferences.
Now scroll down until you see Push Notifications.
If it says Enable Push notifications, click it.
If it says Disable Push Notifications, click it, and then click it again to Enable them, and see if that helps.

Can you try a different browser like Firefox, and see if they work on it?
That will tell us if it is a Chrome problem or not.
