I love the Winter Olympics, a lot of people dislike the Winter version and i agree that some of the sports are lousy...

Here are some I'd get rid of:
Anything that needs judges to score, inluding:
Figure Skating, it's a waste of tv networking imho..
All of the lame x game stuff that was added, I don't care who does the best moguls or lamey chuck board grab roundy and that might actually be a move name...
I used to x country ski and still have skis but the shooting at stuff and then skiing is silly to me.
There might be some others that i don't know about but thats my starting point...

My favorites are the real skiing events, (downhill and ski jumping) bobsled and curling. Curling? Yes i said that, I'm a huge lover of table shuffleboard and there are still a few bars around here that have tables. Curling is kinda like shuffleboard except it's more work.

I don't know, when they start and I don't know if there is a german team at olympic games.

If they would play against there was no chance for german team. There is a real good chance for Finland team to get a medal. They always had good team.

They'll start tomorrow (Wednesday).

Germany has a team there as well... but they're not so good as they used to be in the old days... Germany had lots of great players like Erich Kuenhackel, Dieter Hegen etc. in the 70's and 80's.... but they still have Olaf Koelzig who's one of the best goalies in the world.... and Jochen Hecht.... but there's not enough depth in the roster.

I'm sure they'll beat Italy though....

I remember the names you talk about. But I don't know any actual player.

Italy is first opponent? I don't know, but I didn't heard they have really good team.

I'm more interested in club team football/soccer of what club? I hope they get a chance against Bayern München and take it on 12th of April. Too bad I'm not club member and don't have season ticket. It will become very difficult to get a ticket. There is place for 19.800 supporters, but there is request of about 60.000 or more. I hope to get a ticket anyway.

Yeah Jon - thats got a lot going for it ... ice-footy; sure would be an improvement on a grass pitch. lol:

While we're at it what about ice-baseball or even ice-american football - now that would be a scream and more opportunity for a little punch up than hockey currently is! LOL. :D

But on a serious note, any winter sport that's honest eg. timed, has got to rule over subjective judging.
