I noticed the lady right away in this picture, and the first thing that I thought of was, "Married to the Pinball".

Now, maybe she's only visiting with no relationship to the guys, but in the many years that I've spent at Mom and Pop arcades, witnessing the operators as owners in the family way, I've often seen the husband as owner with the frowsy wife in the background, almost always with that long lock of hair down the side of her face, helplessly hoping for merciful solvency or release, and appearing to be bummed out.

Man, when I was stuck in the Hollywood Ghetto before The Haze, I used to go for the beer myself.
