One BIG Fat GIANT Caveat On Future Pinball STTNG Tables

There is no [good] reason at all for this condition to exist (you could
call it a GIANT oversight because none of the programers could possibly
conceive that ANYONE would [could] do the unthinkable), or not much error-
condition beta-testing went into these tables; but it does.

If you miss the [your] opportunity to fire any one of the two guns
(probe launchers that sit above each sling shot) during battle in
almost any version of STTNG, the guns will swing back to their initial
starting position and KEEP THE BALL (meaning that it will NOT eject it).
Thus, the game will stall because the table considers the ball still in
play, and the game will just sit there with no way to continue (until
the cows come home)!!!

One would just think that this was an oversight, but this condition
happens on more than just one version of STTNG (the only one this does
not happen on is the version by francisco666 and rom)!

This makes no sense because of the caliber of programmers that create
these games. Has anyone else ever complained? But this oversight should
be brought to their attention. Who knows if they'll actually respond.
 
I don't have that problem. Do you have Vertical Sync checked in the options of the FP editor?

Especially since all these programmers have been paid a king's ransom to re-create these tables and automatically make them work for every single person with a different PC setup?

it does do it, i never noticed this before, but i very rarely play this table
when he says "" fire when ready"" dont do anything, the turret moved back and forth a couple times , stops, and your stuck.



editing line 5120 and 5122 for longer times, then debugging, im not sure how to fix it, its above my paygrade, lol
maybe a loaf of bread will be sufficient (just joking)

it seems slams updates added createball amd the original had a debug release .
maybe george or one of the others has a quick line of code to release the ball.
I will try to fix it if nobody else does.

the slams 1.02 is better, the other ones only rotate cannon once then sticks.
