As you know, these folks have been bothering me for some time now.
And remember, anything that you come up with in your privacy, well, they'll just take it and use it for themselves, especially if you don't know about it.

The latest Pearls of Wisdom from these folks:

"Freedom is Poison."

~and~

"Anyone who is not in Hollywood is a turd."

Would you care to work for them?

Life among the Hollywierds:

Work for a week with my own two hands day and night to collect 3 pounds of gold and 2 pounds of palladium, in order to support myself and be responsible for myself by my good intent; by my heart and my soul and my sincerity not to be a burden to others and to enjoy My Liberty in A Free Country. One inch of precipitate solidly on the bottom of the bucket.
Leave sit to precipitate the latest amounts to the existing 1 inch of precipitates already resting on the bottom. And within a week, then off to the refiners for my providence.

Go to the store for food and personal needs, and to run errands for my 86 year old Mother.

Return home to find One-Eighth of an inch of gold/palladium precipitate and less than an ounce of gold and remnant palladium in the bucket, and Piss (Ammonium Carbonate = Baked Urine) in the Pepsico/Quaker Brown Sugar and Maple Instant Oatmeal, and the Little Debbie Swiss Rolls, both of which the richie Hollywierd folks have controlling interest in the manufacturing of. And of course they know that I love these products when They Are Not Fucked Up Like That.

It gets Really Sickening for them to be around me.

Ammonium carbonate may be the least of whats wrong with "American" corporate "food". At least it is something one's body is used to dealing with. The mass produced flavor industry has been poisoning our food for decades. A friend of mine worked for a flavor house in Hunt Valley Maryland. He say's it is the most toxic and hazardous place he has ever been. The FDA is completely OK with this. They allow all kinds of poisons in our food under the guise of natural/artificial flavors. The most sneaky way stuff like MSG, Hydrolyzed proteins and yeast, Gauanlates, Inosinates and other Exictotoxins get put in food is they can call them "SPICE".

MSG is harmless to most folks
hydrolysed proteins- what's the big deal?
yeast- you saying like candida or something?
...

waaaaaiiiit a second... excitotoxicity? wow, never heard of that, and i tend to pay attention to nutrition. veddy, veddy interesting. wow.

still, wouldn't they get killed by lawsuits sneaking this kind of thing as "spice"? someone's bound to have bad a reaction, etc.

I thought you said you pay attention.

That's like saying a gene that causes a cancer is harmless until it causes a mutation. Or second hand smoke is harmless because you have not gotten ill from it.

@shockman,
and i thought you had moved on from being an asswipe.

last i looked in to it, MSG is mainly of concern to folks who have headachey, allergic-type reactions to it. but for most people, as with chewing apple seeds with their cyanide precursor inside, the body easily handles small quantities of MSG customarily used in cooking.

@coil smoke,
took a quick scan of the WP page and it looked like the condition was more due to internal conditions than to consumed items, but i haven't watched the video yet... will do, thanks!

No, the ammonium carbonate or bicarbonate is not harmless to anyone who is already full of piss or ammonia and in need of real food to rid it. And that the ammonium carbonate in the oatmeal is at a high level with diacetyl piled on top to mask the flavor with 'a buttery taste'. Hot oatmeal is good as a detox.
It cleans up uremia, unless it it loaded with piss by the manufacturer.
Then it don't.

And then, to have the manufacturers, Quaker, Little Debbie, Banquet Meals, hit their food with the same additive at the same time is very strange. The body may be used to dealing with piss salts, but that will not make up for the food value being blocked by piss salts. Waste is still waste.

The folks used to joke about people who are 'addle brained'; anyone who ignores them is likely suffering from piss on the brain. Piss on the brain will disorient the ability to function, producing mental confusion, and so will ammonium bicarbonate in excess. It acts the same as ammonia poisoning.

The wikipedia page says that ammonium bicarbonate cannot be used as a leavening agent or additive in dense foods such as breads and cakes (and oatmeal) because it will not evaporate. The practical use of this piss is as a leavening in baked goods that allow the ammonia to evaporate. Thin crispy hard cookies and crackers are the rule.

I forgot to mention that ammonium carbonate/bicarbonate has the strong smell and flavor of bitter tennis shoe rubber. When added in small amounts to foods and tobacco, it imparts the smell of graham crackers and destroys the natural sweetness of anything it is added to. In higher amounts, it dominates as the bitter rubber flavor.

Ammonium carbonate is also used to strip meat scraps by dissolving them to make pink slime. It acts like a drain cleaner.

I have to take issue with that. Second Hand Smoke is blamed for roughly 3,500 American deaths each year, but there are 4.5 Million Californians who smoke every day.

I don't mean to perpetuate the myth that SHS causes the deaths when it is clearly something else going on. You wouldn't say that flowers killed the asthmatic, would you? I would say the asthmatic suffers a predisposition or an immune or metabolic deficiency, else some kind of infection, and I believe the correct statement is that the victims have a morbid sensitivity to SHS.
I sometimes suspect that people are actually suffering from food additives interfering with their metabolism or their immunity. The ammonium and phosphate additives destroy essential detox nutrients by oxidation or by nitration and can impair kidney function. They are also pro-biotic and wreck havoc when suffering from low-grade food poisonings which are becoming more frequent for some reason.

It doesn't help that the medical community suffers a financial conflict of interest regarding tobacco use, and I've seen first-hand doctors charting bronchitis as 'Smoking-Related' when it was an infection.
They do it because it increases their State aid potential and comes into play when there is legislation to raise tobacco taxes 'for smoking-related costs to the State' and State jobs working for 'tobacco control'. There is an outrageous bureaucracy in New York City which is thriving on 'tobacco control' revenue bilked from The People @ $11-$14 a pack.

They who object to tobacco sure don't mind taking the money from the so-called dead.

I thought ammonium bicarb was a more common leavening agent. And I do have problems relating to uric acid and blood pH. My buddy says that diacetyl forms a toxic yellow cloud when exposed to air. Funny that that a buttery smelling compound makes a yellow gas. He also told me horror stories about artificial coffee flavor. This stuff actually rapidly absorbs all the free oxygen in a room. He says you will not be able to take a breath.
If you are lucky you will get dragged to safety.

I advise anyone watch a least some of the Excitotoxin video. Many people suffer with numbness, tingling and their hands falling asleep. Many think they have carpel tunnel syndrome. Me and the wife figured out 15 years ago it was chemicals in food causing those symptoms and our migraines.
EXCITOTOXINS - The Taste That Kills - Full Length - YouTube

I get massive migraines when i eat anything that has a larger than normal amount of MSG in it
like Chinese foodies (to-go stuff not the real restaurant foods)
also I am allergic to most artificial sweeteners like Nutrasweet
and sucralose
heck even the caramel coloring used in most sodas
sometimes gives me stomach aches
like Linus Van Pelt once said "I can't eat this it's full of ingredients!"
the plainer my food the better my tummy and head
and except for one cup of coffee in the morning
no other caffeine crosses my lips any time of the day

Ammonium Bicarbonate is A Traditional Scandinavian/Old World leavening, formed from baking EDIT: The Bicarb comes from heating the horns of animals, but in modern times is synthesized from chemistry. The Carbonate comes from baking Urine, but the use of Bicarbonate has only become common in the U.S. within the last couple of decades with the desires of manufacturers to lower their Sodium listings in their Nutritional Facts statement.
Frito-Lay has consistently used AB in their Rolled Gold(SP?) Pretzels and they tried using it for brine in their Fritos Chips in order to be PC about the sodium by eliminating it.
The funny thing is, there is a brand known as "Anderson's Pretzels" made in Pennsylvania that uses only table salt, no sodium bicarb or AB, and they are the best I've ever had.

The Scandinavians use AB to make air biscuits and they are extra light and airy because the AB attacks the gluten (wheat protein) in the flour, breaking it down just like the ammonium carbonate melts meat scraps.

The best leavening is just sodium bicarbonate with calcium phosphate.
Rumford Baking Powder from 100 years ago is just that, and this was what the Little Debbie Swiss Rolls were made with up until the piss rolls I bought the other day. From best to worst.

It probably isn't the caramel faralos.
If it's a cola, then it is probably the Phosphoric Acid, especially if you normally have trouble sleeping. In sleep the body produces small amounts of Phosphoric Acid to recycle wastes back to carbohydrates, so that you don't need as much food as you would without it, but too much of this acid will cause stomach troubles, and the amount produced by the body can exceed it's safe limit if your sleep is disrupted as the body is producing it.

If you already have too much from sleep problems, then drinking colas containing it won't help.

btw my girlfriend smokes and when she stays for the weekend
I cough for about two to three days after she goes back home
so I know that the second hand smoke is killing me slowly but surely
I also smoked a pack day for twenty years quitting in '93
so my lungs already have smoke scarring in themfrom that
second hand smoke is just as dangerous if not more than smoking
why more you ask cause I am not smoking but still suffer all its ill effects
all my clothes smell like her cigs even my clothes hanging up in the closet
since the smoke lingers everywhere
all my apartment has that stale lingering smell to it
we can tell if we leave then come back the smell is there, faint but still there
but I love her so I put up with it
the things we do for love eh??

it may also be the caffeine since drinking anything with it in it gives me the shakes real bad and minor headaches
but I don't drink soda any more anyhow I stick mostly with green tea for my daily drink and eat tons of fresh fruits

W O W . . .

This is a fascinating place. It is a cornucopia of knowledge spilling over and then some. Music, chemistry, radio, Hollywood, nutrition, electronics, popular culture and even pinball on top. All in one week! Don't get me started on physics, gravitational theory and the cosmos.

Uh, those I don't do.

faralos, it sounds like you have a sensitivity to the smoke, which is why you should avoid tobacco.

as an artist/monk-type with some learning disorders i'm not great on hard science, but i ponder the cosmos a lot and try to follow the main and breaking theories on modern cosmology. what is your interest there, coily?

just started watching the video... and oh dear, an hour long? where's TED when you need it? but wow, that guy is like mister rogers channeling george bush senior. :D

Now there you go. Ike's the one for a bit of science and study of the universe.
And mrschultz is pretty good about science too, though I suspect we need a different topic to lure him in to our conversations.

I'm not too aligned with the stars, being surrounded by the city lights as they are,
but I love to catch the meteor showers when they occur. One night about five years ago there was one meteor that passed nearly perpendicular to the Earth and at a Very Low Altitude, and that baby popped and fizzled like a demented dud firework. I could see the stone of it whizzing straight overhead and across and then becoming a smoldering object like that of an overheated tin can hurled across the sky with gusto and bursting into smoke along its side, and then it became a mass of colors and sparks as it left with popping sounds.

I thought you were going to take issue with this? This is my point as well. Both that small doses and the risk is low, but the substance is still harmful, and that you will hear arguments for, for anything harmful, regardless of risk, if it serves anyone in any way.

The Government has often used quantity to justify the existence (creation) and use of stuff known to be harmful, and it is as stupid as can be because they don't care, or they would not be so ignorant by choice. Very low quantities of many substances cause fatal problems.

I too had a recent close encounter with a celestial object come to earth. I was headed east out of Jacksonville Maryland just after sunset. I was passed by a bright green bolide as it streaked from horizon to horizon. It was headed to Atlantic City New Jersey at about 30,000 miles an hour.

It was leaving a long white trail. Sleepy, you were incredibly lucky to hear the sound of a meteor vaporizing on its way to earth.

As for the gravitational theory thing let's just say I see universal mechanics very differently than Isaac Newton did. We literally have the weight of the universe on our shoulders. All the matter in the universe gives rise to a field that is repelling everything. Gravitational density varies and is inversely proportional to the amount of mass in the vicinity. Gravity pushes objects from an area of high gravitational density to an area of low gravitational density. Gravitational density is the least at the surface of a body and greatest in deep space. The mathematics that express my thoughts on gravity are simple and beautiful. Let the sum all the gravity in the universe equal one. So one becomes a limit that will never be met. So one divided by mass equals the gravitational density at the surface of the body. Divide one by the mass of the earth you get a number with a decimal point and about 21 zeros befor it. Divide one by the mass of the sun and you'll get an even tinier number. It is this low gravitational density surrounding the Sun that holds the planets in their orbits. Apparently there was a guy named Lafarge who had a similar notion back in the 17th century. His theory got him nowhere, just like mine. If he had only known the universe was expanding and accelerating. My theory of of universal density based tropism explains the acceleration of the expansion of the universe without the need for dark matter for dark energy.

Newton explained the obvious by observation in his world, and it was broader than he probably realized, but I think everyone sees things differently than he did.

Any theory that does does not factor dark matter has got to be way off track though. It would be like an explanation of depth that ignores a surface.

Putting a one to the sum of the total of something makes sense.

Gravity pushes objects from an area of high gravitational density to an area of low gravitational density.
Simple observation certainly makes it seem so.

Gravitational density is the least at the surface of a body and greatest in deep space.
Simple observation certainly disputes that. There would be no such thing as an orbit if this was so, for orbit is not a battle of two gravitational forces but one, which is the surface (actually the entire mass) in battle with motion.

I have bought into the theory that gravity has no effect on objects at all but instead space and the bending of the space has the effect on the objects.

time-space, not just space.

dark matter is related not to the expansion but more the opposite. but let me read your thing again later for more meaning, coily.

immediate problem w/ video- 1) starting with a biblical passage with the aim to relate it to the subject in question is pretty off-putting both scientifically and rationally. 2) this guy in particular is cited all over the web as leading the charge on this take on excitotology, not existing near the center of peer-reviewed theory.

w/ my limited resources i don't have the time to work out many candidate ideas at this point. gotta rely on the scientific community as a huge ally and partial-mentor in guiding my focus.

sorry, half-asleep tablet post for now.

Mostly over my head here
but having an active interest in backyard sustainability
has me looking at practices in farming/processing/imported food as well as pharmaceuticals

Really churns my guts with what's happening now & the past
but does give more incentive in doing the backyard thing
& knowing what we're consuming
