Pinballs at the Movies

Can you ID these machines the blue looks like a Magnotron can't id the other two. I have some avi clips of machines how do you post them.

Savage Weekend 1979 the movie with two pinball machines and a pool table that's red I've never seen one myself.

The Black and white clip Machine also appears in Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome.

A Fast Draw machine appears in Joyride

I just love this topic but can't ID the pinball machines referenced in the images. I was recently watching a movie (can't remember the name) and successfully identified a machine after playing it in slow motion, when I see or hear pinball machines in a movie, the plot and everything else goes out the window, there could be a naked woman on the screen and I'm just trying to see the pin. What drives me nuts is when there are machine sounds in a bar etc., and they never show the machine.

I have some avi clips of machines how do you post them.

I just added .avi to the acceptable extensions for forum attachments,
Manage Attachments Add (newly added extension) .avi file.

Savage Weekend: The first pic with the Gay guy in shorts is Gottlieb's "El Dorado".

The machine near the man with the bat who's about to receive his uppance from the Gay guy in shorts does indeed look like Magnotron. I can't help you with Dick Tracy, but Thank God I don't have to run my VHS copy of Savage Weekend again to find out. It's a bust as a horror film, a so-so as an erotic movie except for a very kinky scene involving a woman put to milking a cow by hand, and the actor playing the Gay guy is extremely talented and very funny, though it doesn't make up for the movie as a whole. It also stars the hired hand from the second Newhart series (the Bed and Breakfast in Vermont series) who also played the toymaker in Blade Runner.

Magnotron is a four-player machine. I think the machine in the second picture is a Gottlieb Duotron. Duotron is the two-player version of Magnotron. I think so because I can't see any 3rd or 4th player EM Reels in the picture.

Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one who tried to id pins in various movies! good to know I'm not the only one...safety in numbers and all that!

One thing you might try to narrow it down is to get the years the two identified pinball machines were made and just go through ipdb.org's database between those years and see if you can find the machine who's side pic matches what is on the machine you are trying to identify. May be a bit of a task but it beats driving yourself nuts trying to figure it out. :D

Videos need to be uploaded to a hosting site and then added to Pinball Nirvana, Currently, vids from these sites can be uploaded:
