Pinmame Roms Digital Screen only...

Hi,

I installed everything and tables without using pinmame work fine, once I use a table like attack from mars for example and start the table, pinmame loades but i can't see the table at all, i ONLY see in FULL screen the digital screen of the pinmame rom, i tried on 3 tables and they do all the same, changed resolution, did it windowed, nothing helps , i can insert coins and play (hear playing as i can't see the table, i looked for all possible keyboard keys nope impossible to change it, always that BIGGG pinmame screen rom taking my whole screen.

Oh by the way I use version 8.1 something, if i use the exe 9.01 or 9.02 the balls move extra slow like 20 bolls is following the first ball, impossible to play normal games even things like bingo tables. once i start the 8.1 version again no problems.

You have to run Visualpinmamesetup.exe. It's in the VP folder. Once you click the setup click on the setup path's button, then 'Uncheck" the always run in full-screen on this display. That should do it for you.

Found it but was already installed with paths, otherwise wouldn't have found the rom, i also unchecked the full screen thing and it still starts full screen, but when i press escape now it ask me if i want to go back to editor and shows me the table, so i refuse, i can put the coins but unable to start with the key 1, i tried to launch a ball while still in fullscreen with pinmame screen and hear it launching, pressing then escape , seeing the table not quiting the editor but can't play with flippers, and game crashed saying vista has stopped blablabla....

So still not able to play.

If I remember correctly, right-click and choose "Restore Display Size".

Or it might be that in the editor screen at the top click Preferences > Video Options and Uncheck the "Cache rendered tables" box. I'm not sure about that one as far as the DMD goes.

Hi thanks alot for the right click button and all that tried to help, much appreciated. I had tried soooo much so much keys and table reboots, but never the right click.... and that solved it!!!!!!

Guess i talked to soon :) Indeed that problem is solved, but I still get the crashes in each table that i play in the first game. all tables without pinMame don't crash, the games that uses pinmame crash after a few minutes (1-3) never giving me enough time to finish a game... I launch visual pinball as admistator I installed visualpinmamesetup in admistrator mode to.

So I don't know anymore, hope some people had the prob or can help on this

Not that I exactly think, it's the solution, but I would try to run Visual Pinball in different compatibility modes.

Oh, I just see/understand, you run VP/VPM in Vista. Is there such an option as well? I'm sure anyone else can help. I'm still on XP.

That problem was already solved. It was the general offender called FRAPS.

Indeed that was me that asked in both forums, as it took me 6 hours to find the solution, I started another post for that in this forum where I explained that it has been solved because of fraps. Sorry if some people feel bad or abused because i asked the same question on 2 different websites. It only also have been answered in the other Forum, but did report it back here so people have the solution if they ever do have the same problem in the future.
