Favorite Pinball Machine
The one that gives you a gumball
I saw this pic today.... No .vpt at IRPinball, but I thought it was interesting as it has digital scoring.

1966 - The first digital scoring pinball machine, "Rally Girl" is produced by a French company called Rally.

those 'nixie tubes' are pretty!

dunno about the choice of checkers for the PF, tho. :s

Yeah, I saw pics of this one a while ago

Notice, no playfield plastics and the globes seem to be inside the posts

Actually they made a whole bunch of machines, and they were also the first manufacturer to incorporate 'Fliptronic'.

I remember being at some swiss site some time ago which belonged to a guy who collected them. IIRC his entire site was dedicated only to Rally machines, but for the life of me i dont remember what that sites name was. Unfortunately google didnt spit it out either, which is too bad, because it was a great site with many details about these machines. But i did find two posts from a german collector in a french pinball forum which include a couple of nice pix too. One post is about Rally Girl and the other about West Club.

BTW, the Nixies are only 'digital' in that they are displaying Numerical Digits. (But then so do EM Reels.) They are not being driven 'digitally' by a microchip however, much like an EM Reel they are simply connected to some sort of 'stepper' which switches the digits through from 0 to 9. See attached photo for an opened unit,...it originates from this thread.

wow - looking through the list of rally tables - why don't we have ALL of them emulated? Who wants to form a team and take on this beautifull collection?

I'd love to play a few of those!

Well Guys

Here's another Rally table. It's called Schuss - seems to be a skiing theme.

There is also a lot of info from dozens of manufacturers at this site "240 Amusements"

Don't know if you guys have ever seen this site or not, it just seemed very useful. AND they sell fully reconditioned machines.

Some years later...
Rally Girl was the first Fliptronic by Rally.
Concerning the playfield, it's the same as Messalina released the same year.

LOL! They actually made a pinball themed to Messalina.

One can only imagine what the bonus modes would look like if it was a modern pin.
