Sad News, Stan C Wade [aka Bluto, Brutus has passed away]

It is with deep sorry that I announce to the community the death of Stan [aka Bluto, Brutus plus a few others over the years].

I have been in contact with Stan's daughter over recent days. She mentioned that he had been re-admitted to hospital and since being discharged was failing in health and was not expected to recover; I have just been advised that he passed yesterday at 7.30pm with his children present.

His daughter did not know what forums he belonged to so I said I'd report it in those that I knew.




RIP Stan .... you will be missed.

Sorry to hear the news. I always thought of him as our friendly grouch.

A shame for sure. I never knew him but knew what he was like. He did like to complain an awful lot but it's a shame to see a man go so young. My condolences to his daughter and family.

He was 77 years old.... That's not so young. He was actually very helpful to some in getting VP up and running with VPM and he would even offer to send people a CD with all of the ROMs on it. He was always trying to be helpful even when he didn't quite understand the question or problem.

I remember him best early on when he would mention driving a truck and drinking beer, I think he really liked the beer. Nursing homes are a real bitch for people who are use to doing things their way.... They take away your smokes, won't buy you any beer, but you can still diddle the old ladies :)

Well said man. Still I think 77 is too young. It's just how I feel. I lost my Father at 66.

And that's the shame of it. I don't believe a rest home encourages anything but the inevitable.
