Williams Score reel reset

I have a 70s Williams Solids and Stripes, when starting new game score reels do not reset to zero. I think the problem is the score motor drum only turns one half revolution, do it only pulses the score reset relay 5 times, ie if the reel is at 4 it stops at nine, if the reel is at 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 it stops at zero. For example if the score is 46320 it reset to 90870. Any suggestion on what going on and fix

So... leaf switches, right?

As a former owner of EM's, 90% of these issues amount to corrosion on the leaf switches, which of course requires figuring out which ones, specifically.

If Dave doesn't happen to catch this post and recommend something more expert, I'd be cleaning all the contacts on the motor drum and the scoring reels, just for basic M&R principles. Can't never go wrong with that!

Then, if same problem, check your schematics and diagrams (link), in which case it should become pretty obvious which dang ol' relay is 'gummed up' by corrosion. Now don't just stand there, son... clean it!

It sounds like the reset relay is releasing too soon. If you can post a part of the schematic involving the reset relay would help track down why it’s hold circuit is releasing too soon.
