Secret song in my AMERICAN IDOL TABLE

It has been a few years since I created my AMERICAN IDOL
Vp 8 Original pinball game.
I hid a special song by MONTY PYTHON’S "ERIC IDOL"
in the game. It will play about 30 seconds after you finish playing the game.
The Fun is in the Name,,,, (Am..Eric an Idol..)
So far, only one person has found it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SO,,,,
You must be patient after finishing the game or you won’t
hear it. Finish any game,,,or read the code if you can,
and you will find/hear it.

That's very cool (I Like The Idea!), and I wonder how many other tables have Easter Eggs hidden within?

I remember PacDude had a table with *I think* "a devil ball" or something like it, and I slipped a couple of appropriate song intros into Mata Hari, now a very ancient relic, but if you do not press any buttons for credits or game start, just let it sit for 20+ seconds, it should play one intro and then a second after another few seconds.
This was done for nostalgia, to rekindle the feeling of 1978 (the year the game was produced; though the intros are from 1974 and 1968 ) and to refer to the theme of the game.

well describe Easter Egg. many of my newer pins all have extra table play fields with maybe other tunes also if you do certain things in them. Wall-E and Pharaoh both come to mind here. Pharaoh has three different play fields along with three completely different Egyptian based songs in it! But ya' gotta' find out how to get them.
So are they called Easter Eggs then? I just like to do stuff like that in many of my pins so if someone plays it long enough they may find that event
But Kewl beans for the AI update! I always liked that table and have wondered why not do one each year with those yearly 'stars'? HUH? I am talking to you here

Thanks for answering,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am not sure if my table
code skills are worthy of a new table. If I code a new table
it will be a totally new theme.
I might start a new vp9 table,,,,,,,,,,,,I will have to learn vp9.....
My next table will have lots of bad snakes and biting insects,,,,,,,,,,,,,
That will take me about 12 months to do.

BUT NO MORE AI,,,,,,,,

I have not worked on a new table yet.
I think I will try to do a VP version of
a Fruit Machine for my next table.
It will take some time to learn vp9.
I will take ideas from the FM's I Enjoy
but it will be a VP Original.


The snakes idea was quickly was nixed.

A fruit machine is an Aussie version of a slot machine.
Lots more fun than a regular Vegas style one arm bandit.
In pin terms, I might design my table to hit a series of targets to press
the spin button. Many other fun decisions to make. Often two dice
spin, and then you have to choose if the next roll of the dice will
be higher or lower. Or cards will play like Hi Low or Red vs Black.
No WIP yet,,,,just an idea. Google Fruit Machines to find out more
about these fun and free Emus.

Talk with Tii about slots or those types of table layouts
as he builds the oldies all the time using either a bagatelle or a pachinko layout
he also has many of his table templates available
over at vpforums.org for downloading too
I think he has a few slot machines under his belt but even if he doesn't
he knows how to build using those templates
