I am happy to announce...

The "Original" site logo has been upgraded to 2400p rendering!
We did test a 4800x800 logo, but found it loaded pages slowly.
So to keep the pages loading quickly, (we are always thinking of ways to make site better for our members!), we lowered it to 2400x400, while keeping the quality of logo.
All of the Staff had a helping hand in this upgrade!
We wanted it to be as close to the original logo as possible, so to preserve it for all time in a higher resolution.

Here it is in all of its glory! :woohoo:

It looks nice. You might be able to reduce the size further if you use Vector Graphics if you are not already.

Actually, on a 4k monitor, and with the site designs being a fixed size, the banner itself can be resized to 1340 by 840 with no loss of resolution, as that is the size defined in the html code for the banner. (Plus things like padding,borders etc, but that is the banner size that will be shown with 4k monitors.) That will reduce the size, but we have moved to a faster server today, and it's pretty zippy especially if you have the banner already in browser cache. But one of these days we may have a fluid width forum theme, so we would need to put it back to 2400 then.

As to other resolutions that people use, as far as I remember, you can only use one banner for all the multiple themes, but not sure if there is a mod that changes that. Something to look at down the road.
