Slick Chick - Slick Chick (Gottlieb 1963)

This table uses my self-programmed routine for a realistic dot reel reset. The different sounds come from the original Slick Chic. All lights are switched on and off like in the original. For the center disc lights, this means that the current light goes out when the count starts, and the next light comes on only after the points have been counted.
This table was created in cooperation with Carlucci.

Ok across the Special-2- Key text is confusing when tring to auto launch the ball on an ALP using joy2key. How do I set this up without having to manually push L to launch the ball each time. Normally my start button will put the ball in the carrier
Thanks all

When you press the Special-2 key, (Apostrophy key ' (2 keys to the right of L key), it toggles choice of Manual or Automatic Ball Lift.

The text lettering will be green when you have activated Automatic Ball Lift.

The text lettering will be red when you have activated Manual Ball Lift.

I think this setting is saved, so you only have to set it once to have Automatic Ball Lift.

This fuction is set to the special-2-key. But how ever: If it once set to Automatic or Mannually, this setting is saved in the fpRam so that you don't need to do this every time. So if the label fades out saying Automatic the ball comes automaticly into the plunger lane. I hope this works for you :)

P.S.: I have a Germant Keyboard ...

So I opened the table in future pinball but the ; key does nothing. The L key moves the balls over and loads first ball so keyboard is working.. Where do I see the colors changes you are referring too. I am just opening the table with table launcher and tring the ; key. Am I at the correct place to see Lift ball color changes. Thanks

Above you write: "It is actually the semi-colon key ; (1 key to the right of L key) that toggles this, not Special-2 key." and you are able to toggle the Label "Manually/Automatic". Now you say the ; Key does nothing ...
This setting must be done before you press the start-button to play a game. Look at Preferences/Game Keys and Controls and see which key is assigned to Special-2-Key. May be it is the ;-Key. Toggle with this key until the "Automatic" (green) is visible and gets fade out. Then the ball gets lift automaticly and you never will have to do it again because the setting gets stored. The L-key ist only in use when the table is set to Manually.

For me, the Special-2 key does not toggle the Automatic Ball Lift.
I have to hit the semi-colon key. My Special-2 key is set to use the default Apostrophy key.
Hitting Semi-colon works for me. Hitting Special-2 key does not work for me.
Maybe it has something to do with your keyboard being German?
Maybe someone else could check this to see what key works for them? @GeorgeH
Anybody out there want to test this to see what key works for them?

Great table by the way!
Thanks for your work on this!
It is appreciated!

My special 2 key is assigned as middle?????

It doesn't matter to me which key you can use to make the setting, the main thing is that it works. With everyone else - also in the USA - the function works via the Special-2-Key.

I just rechecked table and it is working with Special-2 key now.
Weird that the semi-colon toggled it yesterday! (And I double checked to make sure, before posting!)
Anyways thanks again!
Great classic table.

I don't have a joy2key. I just use a PC with no front ends. The ; does nothing. Special2 works. I live in the USA and use a QWERTY keyboard.

When, some software have the ability so assign keys/shortcuts globally. You just need to know that "global" in the software means Windows(r) global... I had a very fun time working around this one so, if you use foobar2000 for music, be aware of this so you don't loose the ability to ctrl-C for copy...

It can happen with other software.

The keyboard type you use QWERTY, AZERT and the other 50000 variants that exist, use the same ASCII code table so, that's not the problem.

I changed special 2 key from middle to number 4 now its mapped to my Start button on my ALP which works for me.. Thanks all for the help...

I'm glad that you now are able to enjoy this table without any problems. Thank you for the compliment 😊.

Your tables are awesome. I doubt there's anyone not aware of the quality of your work.

Thank you, AnonTet 😊
