Hi,
I just registered here because i have an issue with VP that i can't seem to solve on my own, maybe someone has experienced the same problem:

Some tables, with 3D Models in them, like The Simpsons Pinball Party or Star Trek TNG, 3D-models seem to be somehow misplaced revealing part of the background playfield. Though this is not an issue that makes tables unplayable, it is a bit irrtating at times. Maybe someone could advice me on how to solve this.

Please refer to the picture i included from ST:TNG below. (The orange part below the Borg Ship shouldn't be visible i suppose)

Btw: I'm using the Visual Install Pack from the PN frontpage + V2.2 of the ST:TNG table found in the download section.

Cheers,
Bender

What resolution are you using? VP is designed to be played using a 4:3 aspect ratio. Resolutions like 800x600, 1024x768, and 1600x1200 (for example) will all work fine, while non-4:3 ratios will produce weird results.

i have that same table and do not experience your problem. but because of an older computer (with the dreaded built-in Intel graphics) must run it in a 800x600 window, but I've never seen that crop up yet. I run normally on a 17" crt monitor, and except for the occasional slowdown due to the graphics overload it runs fine!

Hey, thanks for the fast replies, so i tried 1024x768 and 800x600 resolution but the problem remains... also on 1024 there's a black line across the lower part of the table, the 3d objects are shifted up again also :(

I'm using Windows Vista with an Ati HD 3850 Graphics board...
I tried moving the objects in the editor as well but with no luck.

:help:

edit: duh... i just tried fullscreen mode... 1600x1200 in fullscreen mode works perfectly... the problem only occurs in windowed mode.. guess i'll stick with fullscreen then...
cheers for your help and sorry for wasting your time.

Not a waste of time at all, the more of these we solve, the more people will have a point of reference when searching for the answer to their problems.

    @xenonph, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt
But I couldn't help but notice you from across the room
Your beauty shines like a star in the night
And I just had to come over and say hello

Excuse me, but I couldn't resist
Your smile is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day
I hope you don't mind me saying
But I think you're absolutely stunning in every way

I know this may sound a bit forward
But I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by
I just had to tell you how I feel
And hope that maybe you'll give me a chance to make you mine

Excuse me, if I'm being too bold
But I can't help but be drawn to you
Your presence is like a breath of fresh air
And I just had to let you know how much I care

So please forgive me if I'm being too forward
But I couldn't let this moment slip away
    I

Excuse me, can I take your seat?
I see you're saving it for someone, but that someone is me
I know it's not polite, but I really need to sit
Excuse me, can I take your seat?

Excuse me, can I borrow your car?
I promise I'll bring it back, I won't take it too far

Excuse me, can I have your fries?
I know you ordered them, but I'm feeling kinda deprived
