I believe this is recent since I went looking for it at youtube many moons ago and it wasn't available.
This is the track which local station KHJ Ch. 9 Los Angeles (now K-Cal 9)
used for their "Strange Tales of Science Fiction" weekend series of B Sci-Fi movies from around 1960 to early 1970's. The name of the piece is "Out of This World" by The Creed Taylor Orchestra. Creed Taylor later became famous as a jazz arranger and head of Creed Taylor Records. CTR's most famous release was the Theme from 2001 (Also Sprach Zarathustra)) by Deodato in the early 1970's.
It is the intro line which also serves as the base melody to this piece that, when played a little faster and with a Beat, serves as the intermezzo (middle part) in "Thriller" just before the appearance by Vincent Price.
