Williams Sorcerer (Williams, 1985) Score Display Problem

I just purchased a Williams Sorcerer machine, after reviewing it and finding no problems of concern - all displays worked, tight flippers, some bumpers a little weak but an otherwise great machine.

Hauled it home about 200 miles, set it up and reconnected everything. When I turned it on, only the player 1 score is showing. It will queue up games in players 2-4 and play them, but the displays remain blank.

I have checked all the connections and looked for loose wires, and can find nothing. What strikes me as odd is that player 1 DOES show, and scores up fine.

Anyone have any suggestions? This is my first digital machine, and I am stumped.

Are you saying that the other three score banks don't light up, or that they stay at zero during play?

What about the ball in play, match, etc displays? Do they work?

It looks like all data for all displays is passed by a single bus from the CPU board, but without really understanding what's not working, I'm not sure if that's relevant.

Have you run through the display tests from the user's manual?

Have you checked for +/- 100V at the non-working displays?

Try exchanging the player 2 display into the player 1 display and vice versa.
If now the player 1 display (old player 2) lights, the problem is on the master display driver (bigger problem).
Otherwise the display glass is outgassed or broken.
Replace the glass and it should work.
