That is cool! Did anyone else walk away from that video with an inexplicable urge to buy real estate from Dick Pritchett? So what would your reaction be if that eagle started snacking on her babies? This whole episode of This American Life is pretty good, but Act 3 raises a lot of questions for our CCTV age. If it doesn't start at the right point, the story starts at about 33 minutes.

I think this is some of the video they're talking about. "Nature" starts at about 2:30. Myself, I think the "attacker" just wants to ride pick-a-back.

At night, there is only one cam, the nest cam. But I see a second Cam 2 is available, looking up at the nest in the daytime hours.

Some nights I wish there was a surfside cam with a stereo surround audio feed. Not so much for the cam, but for the surf sounds on the shoreline and breakers. Does anyone know where I might listen to this as a live stream? Maybe on a lost internet radio station? Any shoreline will do. But it has to be high fidelity, in stereo/surround.

EDIT: Well, it's not in stereo, but it's California. Still looking for that surround heart of gold.

Do you suppose the eagle does not eat their prey in the nest, to keep things tidy?
I'm wondering if they only eat away from home, except to feed their young?

The plain looking peacock is the female. The one that used to be on NBC is the male.

Dammit. I wish Cam 2 would get sorted. That's why I went to the website.
Some of these cams have a remote control that viewers on the web can use to adjust the view, and I thought maaaybe somebody was playing with it.

Apparently, both sexes develop the white head and tail in five years, so if the bird doesn't have it, it indicates that it is a younger bird. The "bald head" appears on both at sexual maturity. 5 years.

What's that?? The dude Edited the surf video to remove the intervals!?
There should be a 12 to 15 second interval between the waves, as well as alternating low quiet riptides in-between the boomers, but Genius removed that stuff.
Not only unrealistically unnatural, but I call that incompetent.
