Williams Space Odyssey (Williams, 1976) stuck in reset

I recently got a hold of a 1976 Space Odyssey pinball machine. I got it from my parents garage, they've been storing it for about 10 years, they had it up and running before they moved it to the garage. I used to play this machine as a kid, they didn't want to store it anymore so I took it. I wish I could keep it, but I have a baby of my own and the money would be better than a toy right now.

So the machine has been sitting for a long time, and moisture has gotten to it, not too bad, just some light corrosion. I don't know anything about pinball machines, but I'm very mechanically inclined when it comes to cars and trucks. I understand how the relays inside work, but the problem I am having is when I switch the machine on, it powers on and clicks like the relays are turning on. when I hit the reset button the main relay motor just spins and and the score relays just click away and the score wheels just keep rotating. I am having a hard time pin pointing the problem. I have gone through and cleaned ALL the contacts and relays with contact cleaner, and scrubbed EVERY relay contact with one of those little cardboard nail file. Any advice would help out a lot.

Hmmm, beats me but truly I would check all the wires. You may have some bad connections in those. I've seen that happen in other machines. It's hard to explain but this can be the culprit.
