Favorite Pinball Machine
Flying Trapeze 1934
I have just uploaded Sportman Payout from 1935 to Pinball Nirvana. Sportsman was so impossibly difficult, Jennings provided operators with four plugs so that they could seal off four non- payout scoring holes, to improve a player's chances of winning.

As you can see on the VP version, you collected your tokens or nickels at the bottom center of the machine, just below the tube that held the coins. You collected by pressing down a lever on the right side of the game.

While you could collect at any time during the game, you might be wise to wait till the end, so you can collect the largest pay out possible. And you only collected on the largest payout, not the total of all possible wiining combos.

Thanks to Woodrails for the table image, Stan for testing and much information, Ken for testing, and Michael Sands of The Sands Museum for additional and needed information. And of course thanks to my partner Patrick who once again solved each of my coding problems, and actually taught me a few things in the process.

And if you're in a generous mood when you collect your cyber winnings, can can e-mail me my share, and we'll both feel lucky.

Try your luck on this playable slice of history by downloading it here

ThankYou!

Sportsman is certainly one of my favorite never played in real-life games, the playfield is unique and beautifull... :yourock:

I have close to 70 more flipperless ready to make if I can only find rules and playability information. The next two might be Blue Ribbon, as soon as the owner sends me the images, and Flying Trapeze, which I just obtain images and information about through eBay. The difficultiy I have getting more information about these wonderful relics is why I've started making flippered originals.
