Just picked up a Gottlieb Sure Shot that has been in storage 25 years. Cleaned a few steppers and she was running. But..... the ball count was always wrong so I cleaned the ball count stepper assembly. ***But now the machine will not score points.***
The machine starts, the score wheels reset to zero, the ball kicks to the shooting lane, all play field and back glass lights come on and the back glass indicates ball #1. but the pops are dead, the slingshots are dead, the rollovers are dead. (all do have lights, but will not score) When I run balls through the machine it does count balls correctly and indicates game over after the 5th ball. Any ideas on where to look?
(the symptoms are similar to a machine that has been turned on with no ball in it)
