Got this pinball playing. After a few games is has developed a problem in that when the #1 roll over switch is used the L relay remains energized. I have tested all of the other roll over switches that score the same number of points and none of the others have the same effect. In fact, the game seems to play correctly until the #1 relay switch is hit.(whether it is the first switch hit or later in the game) I have checked and cleaned the eos switch on the 1000 score reel, I have checked the #1 switch to ensure it is not sticking when activated, I have cleaned and tested all the switches on the L relay.

It is acting as though the #1 switch is stuck. Apparently the L relay is getting energized from somewhere else after the #1 switch is activated. I have studied the schematic and it only shows the #1 roll over activating the 1B relay then the P relay. It also shows the #1 roll over in the "special" sequence along with the kicker relays. I can't find a schematic path for anything else concerning the #1 roll over except for the lights. Any ideas?

thanks for the great info. if you look at the schematic lights section , the bonus unit disc shows a zero position. actually it looks like the zero position is for the #1 ball thru 14 which should be the #15 ball. when relay 1b pulls in it changes the lights from the #1 ball light to the #1 ball light in the rack , thus charging the zero position rivet. since the bonus units first position is the #1 ball , if there is a problem with the on add bonus unit switch that is closing prematurely the z relay will pull in and stay pulled in , keeping the L 1000 point relay always pulled in. check and see if actually the bonus unit should actually start on the #1 ball rivet and when the switch should open at zero position. a knob on the back of...

Pinballdaveh, you were exactly right. What I have spent a few hours trying to figure out I found in less than 30 seconds with your info. The problem was the switch on the bonus unit was shorting out with the brace on the switch. The brace had bent and was keeping the switch closed.

I went back to the schematic and tried to see the "logic" in the path. I'm assuming the open switch in the path is the switch on the unit leading to z relay. Thanks for both the fix tip as well as the schematic explanation.
