Hello,
I have a question regarding a capacitor in my pinball machine. It is the cap that is soldered to the terminals of the EOS-type switch that triggers the pop bumper coil. I had a locked on coil and realized it was this capacitor that was shorted. It's a Williams System 11b machine.
Anyways, I need to replace it and cannot find the identical cap. The rating is 25V 22u. It is a Phillips 030k0 axial lead cap. There is a picture of the exact same cap on ebay (item number: 180693879384) but with different specs. The cap looks exactly like the one in this auction but the specs are 25V 22u (there is also a W1 printed on it).
Now my questions are:
1. Is this a basic electrolytic cap?
2. Can I use any standard 25V, 22u electrolytic cap to replace this?
3. How do I know the polarity? Aside from a black band on one end and a dimple on the other end (see auction photo), how do I know which is positive/negative?
Thanks!
