Anyone who has a Getaway High Speed II pinball. I am down to the final components of my restoration and it has been really fun! But I am down to the flashers that are behind the back glass. There are 5 of them.

Mine seem to be individually connected to J126 pins 3-8 or so which seems ok. The one connection I suspect, is the common wire which in mine is red with a white stripe which is oddly routed like it wasn't original. This common connection goes from all flashers to J106 pin 6 on the top of the WPC power driver assembly. I can't find any documentation on where these lights should get wired to.

Anyone out there willing to take a look at this common wire behind the back glass flashers? Anyone know of a way to test them through the diagnostics menu? I can't seem to find anything that would even light them in the menu.

Thanks

On most Williams tables, the flashers in the Backbox have a coresponding flasher on the play field so you will not find anything in the Diagnostic menu to test just the Backbox flashers. The flasher test in the Diagnostic menu will light the playfield flasher and the coresponding backbox flasher.

Can't help you on the wiring for that partcular machine, I do not have one handy.

Thanks for the reply. Another user on-line showed me that the backboard is referred to as the insert in the manual. Your note is exactly correct, it was tied with other. Found that the wiring for the backboard wasn't even connected but rolled up behind the power board.

Plugged it in and everything came up and quickly blew a fuse. Turns out this was at a mechanics shop and they had replaced all of the lighting with automotive bulbs which had too high of a draw. Replaced all of the flashers and everything is now stable!

Thanks for your help!
