Liheap pays my monthly electric bill Snap is my food card
I get $189/month for food
ALL my bills are being paid for me from outside resources since I have no income
applied for disability this past year my lawyer says it takes up to two years to start getting benefits and they are retroactive but that helps me none right now
also got diagnosed (finally) with PTSD, anxiety, severe clinical depression,
ADD, ADHD so am starting to try for those benefits too (mental disabilities are tough to prove but are better off in the long run and easier to keep)
I have no income at all and am trying to subsist on what little I have
all my bills are paid not by me but with help from friends
atm I owe about $45,000 in pay to friends/family due to not having income since Sept of 2011
so not all of us are purposely trying to rip off the government
some of us actually need these benefits
am also seeing a therapist once a week a shrink once a month
and what is called a recovery coach twice a month
and all that must continue till the day I die
so I am locked into where I live due to my being closer to all the docs and shrinks that I must see on a steady basis
I also got five kidney stones atm that must be blasted out
my Urologist stated this was to be done for me

actually, from what i understand, most of it has now been paid back.

not only that, but the govt made a killing on the fanny / freddie deals. regardless of the fact that they're majority-owned by a different part of the govt, the fed or whatever is going to seeing a much bigger take from now on.

basically, junior and obama hit a grand slam with the bailout. if not for that, there would quite possibly have been a global financial crash, and i'm not sure most of us would be around at this point.


so obama's obviously been a very flawed POTUS, but one thing that you can say about him for sure is that he works his ass off and has the best intentions. but that also has drawbacks... if you happened to catch that amazing vanity fair character analysis from a couple weeks ago.

What's a ps3? I never had a ps1! Honestly, that last thing I had before I got vp was a 2600. I still have it- and it works!

Faralos: Govt aid is FOR people like you who CAN'T work. If you're not able bodied I have no problem in funding that. It's when you ARE able bodied and DON'T WANT to work I have a problem with. I never had a PS1 either or a PS3 .... we went the middle ground and have a PS2 ... great for the girls but way to complicated for me. Disney golf is fun but Tiger Woods golf is harder than the playing the game for real. :)

I will be getting more money per month than I did while working
or close to that the monetary settlement amount is close to $1500/month
while living here the most I ever got in a pay per hour position was $11/hr
that comes out to about 1700/month and that is after working forty hours
I have had salaried positions but am not counting them as the pay rate was really higher than the pay per hour positions

and with it came the Ataris Gemdos OS system with a dot matrix printer
this is when I got my feet wet with learning Basic programming
after selling my PS2 five years ago it is just computers now
no more gaming systems (stupid me I sold FF7 for fifty bucks not knowing the cult following it has
and I could have gotten ten times that amount had I known
so it's just computers for me now and vp tops the list when it comes to games on them

Comet ISON continues on it way. At least what is left of it. Ison appeared to shed pieces back on Nov. 24. I wish it had "Buried it's self into the Sun". The comet was predicted to shoot right over our north pole in December. Even at the distance of 24 million miles it was to be a bit close for total comfort. The Astronomy Picture Of the day image below shows a diffuse ISON climbing away from the Sun(Upper Left). ISON is now traveling at 91,000 MPH. The newer image on the left seems blurred a bit compared to the older pic on the right. I hope the comet does not separate like Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 did. It could spread out over millions of miles.

Thanks FARALOS I appreciate your candor and hope you feel OK. I'm am glad you get the support you need and I'm sure you live quite frugally. I don't begrudge the socialist tendencies fomented by our Federal Government that much. I wish our narco/military/fascist/corporate/police state left more money to pay for it. I blew apart the first NES Zelda game too being out of work with a knee injury at that time of my life
