Visual Pinball ctd, need Help please

i dont find a solution for my problem with search in the forum.

so i got the latest VIP i got tables, i got roms. i load the tables and can play for while, sometimes short or a little longer and then at chrashes to desktop without anything. it simply chrashes, thats all.

so i got xp sp2, geforce 6800. so i find nothing in the faq´s.

I don't know of a solution or have I read of such a problem before. To me it's has all the symtoms of a hardware issue?

I have XP SP2 and a 6800GS too and I did my last install with the VIP kit also. I know this post is not much help, though as I said I can't think of a software related problem, only thing it could be is some other background task or program running at the same time that might be causing this.

Thank you, iam slowly on a good way.i deinstalled the vip pack and use a normal install virtual pinball and a older version from pinmame. and it works. not with all tables but without ctd

I'd check the version of VP you are using, ESPECIALLY if it's an older version becaure they are VERY prone to crashing on XP.

The version you want to see when you do Help - About is 0.7.7012.

If you do have this version of VP, then I would say try and update your vid card drivers.

Just thought of something - make sure your Microsoft Scripting files are up to date as well. v5.6, download from Microsoft's site, found here - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en
