Can anyone tell me what in the sam hill is going on here? (screenshot attached).

Been away from the VP game for awhile, and decided to get back into it. This is the first VP9 table I tried, though the Fathom table I downloaded from here looks fine (if only a big laggy).

My specs are in my signature.

EDIT: Ok, for some reason my signature is not showing up, so I am attaching the graphic of my specs instead.

Not sure. They've been having trouble with Walls disappearing in VP910 and *I think* some folks are having trouble with VP909. They are using VP9.08.

As for the scrunching of the table, are you running the Player in Window Mode? These VP9 tables and VP 9+ run on Direct3D and a Full Screen Mode. Anything else screws up the visual table layout.
Also, check your Editor > Preferences > Video Options settings and try setting them to 32 bits, or to 16 bits, but those grainy drop-outs in the Wall textures look like 16 bit mode, but that could be the bugs.
In any event, set the VP Video Mode to match your Desktop resolution settings. Right-Click on an empty space on the Desktop. The Display Menu appears. Click the Settings tab and make note of the resolution and Color Depth settings and apply the same in VP > Video Options, but again, it might be the bugs in VP909. VP911 has a fix for the texture problem, but some people are reporting other bugs with it.

No, I just looked at the official picture for the table.
The scrunch is okay.
The textures disappearing along with other details are the bugs in VP 909.

Yea, I've done all that. Setting is Full Screen, 32bit and doesn't matter what resolution. Turning off shadows helps, but not much.

Where can I get 9.0.8? I've got 9.0.7 and 9.0.9, but not .8.

Somewhere in the list there is 908.
They will also be the first place to look for VP 911 and any new fixes.

EDIT: The folks at the .org are saying use VP911 and in Preferences > Video Options set the Max Graphics size (not Resolution, Max Graphics Size is a different new setting in VP911) to 1024.

Thanks Sleepy. I tried 911 right off the bat and set the options as above, and now I don't have the issues with the Firepower table, looks damn good! :)

Yeah, they do look damn good. :)

I think vp9.1.1 has been revised over at vpforums.org I have not tried it yet. I have never had any kind of problem running tables in vp9.09 I also only build in vp9 and except for vanishing default triggers on the play field no other problems ever arose for me. also make sure that ALL pics for the pin are no larger than 1024 by 1024 this can be adjusted in vp9.1.1 as an option (I think) otherwise with vp9.09 and lower versions you must export the pic change it's size in an art program then import it back in. some play fields are too big for vp9.09 and must be changed same goes for some back glasses too
especially with UW's tables. some of them do have a larger pic size than 1024x1024 and must be changed. it's partly because some folks build on widescreen monitors so they make the pics to fit that screen, making it too large for us poor 4:3 monitor users.
