Williams Solved White Water (Williams, 1993) Display/sound

I have a whitewater machine. I removed the CPU board to install a remote battery pack and then reinstalled the CPU board. The machine works fine for about an hour (maybe half an hour) and then the display starts to "freeze" between different displays, then I get vertical lines and then finally the sound and the display will go out. I was originally thinking it is the connector, but seems weird that the problem only manifests iteself after the machine has been on for awhile. Also have tried re-seating the connnectors several times with no improvement.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Some times components go south when they heat up. Electronics stores sell freeze spray. An old fashioned trouble shooting trick is chilling parts in a circuit to get them working again. It is a easy way to find bad parts.

Thanks very much for the suggestion.

The machine is working again for some reason. I reseated the data ribbon cable and it appears to be okay at least for now.
