We show you the playfield features and well as what's on the underside, what's inside the game, and look at Stern's first LCD score and diagnostics display.

LOL! Agreed! Exactly what audience is this being made for? Don't get me wrong... I love a good SS machine... well, it seems weird calling it an SS machine, let's just say an Old Fashioned... but I don't see them winning new fans over with this one. You know, the kids today with their cellular phones and their Lady GaGa.

This was a homebrew conversion game by industry folks that made the rounds at a couple of expos. There was quite a bit of coverage of this conversion due to popular response.

And after all, after Big Bang Bar, I say why not? Not sure where you might place this on location though. Maybe at Hooters?

big bang bar was at least a modern machine.

expo response is great and all, but i'm not sure how many operators / distributors are actually going to pony up for a throwback machine like this, especially the version sitting on the fruit crate.

yeah, hooters... that's the other thing. i'd feel a little paranoid playing this in most other locations for fear of looking like a creep.

i had this one GF about 15 years ago who i was trying to get interesting in PB. all went well the first couple of machines we came across, then we ran into a third one and started to play. it had a golf theme... maybe produced around 1990. problem is it was incredibly sexist and the more we played the more we noticed. and there went any interest on her part for PB. one of the pieces of art actually had a middle-aged man pinching some girls ass, if that rings a bell.

Had it for almost a year now....

how do they compare in play / feel?

I think both tables have different VP physics- as they were made by 2 different people. But if you look at the pictures, they are similar, but different in the layout.

oh, duh! i wasn't paying attention to the pics... thought you somehow had the physical oldie and an advance prototype of the new game.

is that a replay counter in the top right of the backbox? its hard to tell the words around it.

No it's the credit window. The text reads "Your credit is good!"

I've had it in vp since about last June. I started my own wip, then a friend gave me his finished wip so I put it on my cab. CC is being worked on in vp as we speak. You can never have enough tables on your cab you know. I may have one of the largest collections on my cab at 684. But unlike everyone else I have no doubles and have working backglasses for all 684 tables.

I think it's kinda cool, but not at the prices they have listed. I'd pay $2500 tops for a brand new em-style machine.

Oh, that one! Yeah, I remember that one. It's "every pinball machine made before 1990 and a good share of machines after that". It's probably regrettable in this day and age that pinball art focused on the puerile when it came to depicting women but, man, that was good art!

@Itchigo: this may be a little off-topic but, while we've got your attention, do you know where Bob is and if he's doing OK?

nah... girls in skimpy attire is a classic thing... i think most women get that and aren't too put out by it. the physical groping stuff is something i only ever saw on that one machine.

that second elvira machine was the height of great sexual humor IMO. this new one seems to be geared towards truckers and customers at a strip club.
