Problem:
In 1 player play, 3 ball & 5 ball, the games works great.
In 2 player 3 ball, Player 1 & player 2 , ball 1 scoring goes to player 1. ball 2 & 3 score to each player properly.
In 2 player 5 ball, Player 1 & Playr 2 , ball 1 & 2 scoring go to player 1 and ball 3,4,5 score to each player properly.

where do I go from here? Everything is tight and seems to working normal apart from this.

It sounds like there's a short or sticky connection in one of the motors with all the contacts that rotate in a circle. There usually on the floor of the machine. I couldn't tell you about taking those things apart, but that's where I think the problems are.
