Our pal BJ seems to have a way of cutting through all the follishness that now and again pops up all over the VP community. Here is one of his gems, used here with his permission. I think it sums up life perfectly.
It always seems that in this world (and this is purely anecdotal, no hard and fast figures to back it up) it's a small percentage of the population that will always create the largest percentage of trouble.
And now for something completely different . . .
While out in his pasture, a bull saw a turkey staring up at a tall oak tree.
"Y'know, if I had the energy, I'd love to fly up into the top of that oak tree" the turkey remarked to the bull.
"Well, try nibbling on some of my dung" replied the bull. "It's rich in nutrients and will give you the energy to fly up there."
So the turkey started munching on the bull's dung and, sure enough, he felt his energy strengthen.
After spending all afternoon filling himself with the bull dung, the turkey took flight and, due to his great new-found energy, soon reached the top of the tree.
Later that day, the farmer was returning home from his chores out in the fields and spotted the turkey high up in the tree. Immediately he took out his rifle and, taking careful aim, shot the turkey out of the tree.
The moral?
Bull-crap can get you to the top, but don't rely on it to keep you there!
Amen, brother BJ!!!!
