Description
Hankin’s FJ is here! This Newcastle classic commemorated an Australian motoring icon, the F.J. Holden. First produced in 1953, it is one of the true Aussie legends, the car that has become synonymous with everything that is “fair dinkum” and “true blue”. The playfield illustrates a stretch of road disappearing into the distance and the hint of the sport of illegal drag racing... Perhaps, the original artist frequented the local Saturday night drag races on Kooragang Island, underneath Stockton Bridge? Or perhaps the inspiration came from the film, named funnily enough, The F.J. Holden. Australian made and released in 1977, it featured a group of youths, a proud owner of a FJ, plenty of swearing, beer, sex, and the illegal sport of drag racing. :)
Guys, I’m not going to be able to be around to support this release... so all mods are open and welcome on this table.
Credits (more detail in script):
* Team FP is awesome!
* Game room is Slam’s... I have made small changes since he saw it for Buck Rogers (beta).
* Large sections of code copied/changed from Popotte and Mick67’s Sinbad table.
* Is that pin-cab model Highlnder00’s? I stole it off of one of his and GLXB’s most excellent pinball recreations... and then totally re-skinned it while adding custom FP speaker felt. :)
