IPD No. 1397
Note from Xenonph:
This table needs to be played using VP6. The display is messed up when using VP8.
Find VP6.exe here..
If you have display problems with any older VP8 tables, try playing them with VP6 and 99% of the time it will fix your display problems.
I'm not sure this is great game, but it's a pretty interesting one!
Krull features three levels, the lowest one being dollhouse-sized. Pulling this off in VP was quite a nice achievement back in the day. Another thing I really enjoyed was the slow-building, atmospheric music. The game itself never actually went in to full production, as only about ten test units were produced.
The 1983, British-American movie this table was based on was a whole 'nother story. It was reportedly quite dangerous to work on for the actors involved, a commercial flop when released, but later achieved cult status. Quite the trifecta, one might say.
Worth noting is that Gottlieb also produced an arcade game that used most of the same music and sound effects as this pinball. There was even a very good Krull game for the 2600 console produced by Atari. --@Ike Savage
