Hi friends:)

Cactus Canyon (& Continued

cc plays fine and always has done. To recap, how does one get ccc to play as it's stopped working. Failing that, does someone have a working CCC i could have, please.
Thanks

ps i know this file is not supported here, but you don't get support in the other place, so this is just an off chance that someone has this file

What version are you using?
VPinWorkshop?
Or Ninuzzu?

I have both.

For the Ninuzzu version here is info on his page.
Cactus Canyon Continued (Bally 1998)

Since the original release of the table, Fast Flips support was added. Fast Flips can be enabled using the script at Thalamus's Github script repository. Link:

https://github.com/sverrewl/vpxtable_scripts/blob/master/Cactus Canyon (Bally 1998) TTNZ v2.0.vbs

For VPX 10.4 or 10.5, updating the script requires deleting out the old script and pasting in the updated script. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1.

For VPX 10.6, users can just copy the vbs file to the same folder as the table. The vbs file name should be identical to the table file name. Rename if necessary. When opening the table in VPX 10.6, the contents of the vbs file should automatically be loaded. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1.

For users that have already installed Python 2.7 version of P-ROC, there is no need to install it again. Nothing has changed with the P-ROC installer since V3.2 which was the version available at MBPC before they closed. They may just want to run Install CCC.bat (requires wget.exe from the installer "files" folder).

I just downloaded both files, and I see no tutorial included.
I checked my collection and found a pdf file that may help you.

The Ninuzzu version comes with the P-ROC_Offline_Installer-v3.2.
Inside of that, you will find 4 batch files.

STEP 1 - Install Prerequisites.bat
STEP 2 - Install PROC.bat

and the install and uninstall batch files.

Install CCC.bat
Uninstall.bat

There also will be a folder that is named "files".
This has everything the batch files need.

Not for sure this is how it is done.
I would uninstall first.
Then run the STEP 1 - Install Prerequisites.bat
Then run STEP 2 - Install PROC.bat
Then run Install CCC.bat

There may be a setting in script for example...
In the VPin Workshop table on Line 99 you will see this..

Const PROC = 0 '1=Use PROC, 0=Use VPinMAME

That works, it's the other tables from major Frenchy and his YouTube clip. As i say they work but no scores or DMD showing up.

That didn't work as the table ccc has a different set-up to the other tables. i will continue to look into it and report back

You can't get back to the editor on proc tables, i find. When you exit vpx tables, you go back to the main pinball screen, so you can edit a table if you so wish. On proc tables, you just go back to the desktop

Try right clicking on the table file with mouse, and click Edit.

Hmmm. In my case I have to move the vpx, b2s and .res files into the p-roc\games folder like so;
"C:\P-ROC\games\cactuscanyon\Cactus Canyon (Bally 1998) VPW 1.1.vpx"

In the script of course needs to have proc turned on;
'///////////////////////-------- Other Options --------///////////////////////
Const BartHatSoundEffects = 1 '1=include sound effects, 0=turn off sound effects
Const PROC = 1 '1=Use PROC, 0=Use VPinMAME
'optReset = 1 'Uncomment to reset to default options in case of error or keep all changes temporary. When done recomment again!

To set the DMD you need to edit this file: C:\P-ROC\Games\cactuscanyon\config\user_settings.yaml Open it with notepad and go to the end, where it says: Color Display Pixel Size: 8, Color Display X Offset: 2375, Color Display Y Offset: 825,
Color Display Pixel Size: 4, Color Display X Offset: 25, Color Display Y Offset: 25,

It now installs but no DMD showing? It loads CCC, but looks identical to cc? Is that correct ? If so that's good just have to load the DMD somehow

i should add only the ccc from vpin workshop loads without the dmd

Ninuzzu ccc doesn't load at all

It should look NEARLY identical. You should see a proc logo on the apron card though.
I showed how I got the dmd to stay on top in post 14 above

This is my screenshot of my folder

    3. Santana
    4. Jason Aldean
    5. Maroon 5
    6. Zac Brown Band

(AI prompt) Who would perform metal in a 19th Century Nevada bordello?
    Quote
  • ChatGPT @ ChatGPT:
@Free Bally!, It is highly unlikely that metal music would be performed in a 19th-century Nevada bordello, as metal music did not exist during that time period. Bordellos in the 19th century would typically feature live performances of popular music of the era, such as ragtime, jazz, or saloon songs.

@Free Bally!, Perhaps a band like Ghost, with their theatrical and dark aesthetic, would be a fitting choice for a 19th-century Wild West bordello. Their blend of heavy metal and occult themes could add an eerie and mysterious atmosphere to the setting. Plus, their elaborate costumes and stage presence would surely captivate the patrons of the bordello.

It is important to avoid making assumptions about someone's mental state based on their choice of location.

@Free Bally!, There may not be many traditional job opportunities for a Hula Girl in Detroit, as hula dancing is not a common form of entertainment in the city. However, a Hula Girl with skills in dance and performance may be able to find opportunities in the following areas:

    1. Dance studios: A Hula Girl could teach hula dance classes at local dance studios or community centers.

    2. Event entertainment: A Hula Girl could perform at events such as luau-themed parties, festivals, and cultural celebrations.

    3. Cultural organizations: A Hula Girl could work with organizations that promote Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, such as cultural centers or museums.

    4. Cruise ships: Some cruise lines may hire hula dancers to perform for passengers on Hawaiian-themed cruises.

    5. Freelance gigs: A Hula Girl could offer her services for private events, weddings, or corporate functions as a performer or entertainer.

Overall, while opportunities for a Hula Girl in Detroit may be limited,

@Free Bally!, As of 2021, there are no major cruise liners that operate out of Detroit. Detroit does not have a cruise port or terminal, so travelers looking to embark on a cruise would need to travel to other cities such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or New York to board a cruise ship.

@JonPurpleHaze, Otis Redding was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who is considered one of the greatest soul and R&B artists of all time. He was known for his powerful, emotive voice and passionate performances. Redding's music combined elements of gospel, blues, and rock, and he was a major influence on the development of soul music in the 1960s.

Redding's most famous songs include "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay," "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay," "Try a Little Tenderness," and "Respect." He was known for his energetic live performances, and he was a popular performer at music festivals and concerts during his career.
