Hello, I was wondering if there was a tutorial that existed for the custom ramp, I would like to know how to position it to have the right dimensions at the right scale. I use milkshape to get 3d objects in Fp, but I always do it by trial and error

Some create their ramps first in FP, then export it to Blender or milkshape and create a custom ramp model from that, then import it back into FP as a Ramp model.

@20degree - I believe you have a tutorial for this?

Blender is definitely the way to go. I recommend using that over Milkshape, though my workflow is to go from FP -> Blender -> Milkshape -> FP.

Let me know if you want any help on making ramps.

Thanks, I'll look at that and I should understand eventually
Merci, je vais regarder ça et je devrais finir par comprendre.

Bon courage, mais c'est comme cela qu'on progresse.
Good luck, but that’s how we progress.

Here I show you how I do a scaling. I'm creating a simple cube, but this would work for any other object, like a ramp for example.

I realized that you can't get a render (Blueprint) with default ramps in Fp. So for those who prefer to use MilkShape 3D, there is a method to import them from blender and then modify as needed. It works pretty well, thanks for the info.

Edit: I redid the video because I made mistakes, I'm sorry

Edit:Files would be nice too

Still me, I'm almost there, but despite long hours of research, I don't really know what I'm doing. Could someone explain to me why when I import the ramps, they don't really maintain their shape in height. As if the (Mask as ramp end point) is not taken into account?

When you say they are not importing the shape in height, I noticed in your video that the scale was off on the "converted from FP ramp" to Wavefront obj and then reimported:

That will also affect the scale in height of the ramp.

I for one have not been able to use Milkshape except as an "intermediary" step. I generally always use Blender since I can work with exact mm (millimeter) sizing. That said, I believe the scaling is getting messed up.

Let me know if you want some help. I can try and walk through steps I use and a basic overview of Blender/BforArtist.

In addition, if you have a ramp that you just want made and you have the layout in FP, I'm happy to help convert it and I can get it into dimensions for you to use in Milkshape.

let me know!

Yes, if you can help me, I would really be happy if you added a costume ramp in Men In Black.

@Zobou - do you have some metrics defined in Men in Black

Yup! The updated video looks good. I learned something from watching as well about using FBX import type in Milkshape. I had always used OBJ

in the end as I couldn't import the ramps properly because the (Mask as ramp end point) doesn't seem to work probably because I'm missing the "import Paths" to configure... well I do the ramp in several parts and correct a little here and there.

In this somewhat brutal way, I'm achieving my goals, but it seems to me that I won't miss much to get there.

More information for the real ones.

After using the old Blend 2.79 to import the FPT, I save the blend file then I use the newer Blender (or BforArtist) to do all the work and export as OBJ the model. I never saw any issues with paths. I believe that image you are sharing is for a Blender translation add-on though.

Sorry ...I confuse "translation" French term. defined Using a ruler and a set square, draw lines parallel to the translation arrow t passing through each of the vertices of the figure.
