i wonder if any author has any interest in giving a makeover to the above. in vpx it's as good as it gets but I feel it could be enhanced maybe with a night scene? someone has tried in vpx but bodged it with a bust-up with another member and won't any longer release it to the members he also used a backing soundtrack that although is perfect it's probably copyrighted so would need a well-respected author of tables to make it successful
 
This is what it looks like for guidance only on what I think would enhance this table?

Using one of these as a base, maybe?

I've been having a lot of fun in GIMP lately doing various graphics makeovers, so I'd offer to process some graphics for the project-runner. I'm not a pixel editor, but have been able to use a variety of filters and 3rd-party sites to recondition graphics.
 
as i said the above is the bodged makeover which will never be released so could only be used as a guide for a night time scene. as for the soundtrack that overlay could be used if copyright doesn't exist?
 
Isn't that music pretty common on any fair? I remember hearing that tune since ever. If it is copyrighted now one cares... but that's me.

As for a night scene well... I'm not the best to do graphic makeovers!
 
i have found out the music is royalty-free so it can be used in a makeover. just have to hope that someone like George will take it on?

Yes, I understood that, which is why I linked those links and commented as I did.

I.e., one could conceivably rework the textures in the already-finished examples and be most of the way home.
 
there are a few different styles that could be used in the overlay so not to infringe the tune from the hit crew as used in the you tube clip above
 
HOw do you prefer it? Dark or Neon(ized)?

Open and zoom for better see the differences.
screens taken with BFP though are not great. Take that into account :)

whatever you feel is best. to me, they're both excellent. :)
 
the original table didn't have a multiball so that could be addressed to make the table more interesting?
 
slamtilt was the last person to do a makeover. i think the flipper strength needs to be increased but apart from that the table is exactly how it should be

that looks better? the aiming accuracy is way out on my side of the original table. I'm sure someone else will help out with the music and will take time to get this table as it should be
 
the vpx build has the back glass on the top left of the monitor which I prefer along with the score?

i cant find the current vpx build for some odd reason. i do have it but seems to be missing from all of the forums at this time
 
Accuracy has a cure :D I can aim wherever I want now.

Making black playfield is easy (in this case). As for the rest, music, and graphics, backwall changes, multiball and whatnot is for someone else. I don't have the time, sorry.

About back wall you can chose another texture. Select only Layer 2, click anywhere, and on the right side choose !BGReflect

I do prefer tables closer to real counterparts so I'm not motivated to do such changes
 
this is sliderpoints build on the vpx platform which is spot on

Forgot to put the PF's here.

I won't attach the table and the updates I did (really quick) because I need to ask permission before I do that.

What you need to do is open the table, go to "Table" Menu, "Texture Manager" and import this files.

Then click an empty space on playfield and on the right side go to "Playfield Image" and select one of these.

You need to disable layer 2 to click on the playfield, otherwise you'll choose the backwall model.
