I just don't like it when people just want to play pinball, but authors decide that since they cant get along with the administration, they take their toys and leave...It's every author's right to control their digital data, but if the can't get along at PN, why do they think the same issues won't happen at VPF?

I'll admit, I made a big deal out of modding, but if someone out there just wants to play the table Charline did, we don't take issue of who has the table, just please don't mess with it...

In the long run I doubt administators care about tables that much and if they do, they download them when they're released, but new and existing users who just want to play pinball and dont post threads or get into fights shouldn't be denied tables because of politics...

There's a difference between doing what you're allowed to do and what you should be doing...

I swear pinball is the only area where people play politics with their work. Imagine if MAME removed drivers every time an author got pissed off at warez kiddies, lamers, etc...What'd be left?

Actually Leon, this is either the 2nd or 3rd time Pacdude's been upset with me. At least one of the other times he had good reason to be upset. And Shockman, if I do something with the best of intentions and later realize I was wrong, I always try to correct things. The only place I sometimes try to stir up the pot is in this forum, which is titled "tiltjlp spouts off" and is where I try to be a bit controversial at times. 75% of what I post here is done simply to get a reaction from folks.

This has turned into an interesting thread, and to think I started it sort of tongue in cheek. What amuses me is that "friends and enemies" seem to alway shift and change identities every so often in the forums, but a few people always have someone that they're upset or angry at or about.. Sort of like preshool in a way.

There was a time I was offered a staff position at VPF also; I've always preferred to use that time to make tables, not play disc jockey. Putting up with BS from your own staff members (or rather a staff member and his buddy) is just a pain in the butt I don't need right now. What I find funny is that when I agreed with him about Pinball Ken's MM at first, he didn't have any problem with that, and he and I didn't discuss PK's table at all, we simply had the same opinion. But when shiva and I happen to have the same opinion concerning Pacdude, he's positive that we were plotting behind his back. I Pacdude honestly believes all the hype about himself he spews out, he must be suffering from stress. And now it seems he thinks he's the one and only author ever offered anything or rewarded for their table making. Well, someone thought enough of my work that when I couldn't run FP, they sent me a spare video card so I could run FP. I hope he's happy in his little fantasy world.

We have alot of vocal community members and I think it would be great for them to all feel welcome to come here and speak their minds, but without PD, who really cares what anyone else thinks. Now Bob, admit it, until Pacdude started to unravel a bit here with his rants and attacks and flamewars with Phoenixx and a few others, he was simply another long winded over-opinionated clpown like you and me and any number of others. Sure, he tends to be a bit more long winded than most, except for me at times, but unless he's bitching at someone he's not that entertaining.

This place can be as lively as we collectively make it. Pacdudes welcome to post here, in fact if he wants I'll set him up with a forum of his own similar to my "tiltjlp spouts off" section. Now wouldn't a "Pacdude Ponders Life" forum be a hoot? Any hard feelings about recent events are Pacdude's, caused partly because he seemed to get the idea that being an Admin gave him the right to do or say anything he wanted to do or say. Simply put, he skidded out of control a bit.

We have the Junk Yard, which isn't used much any more, and wasn't being used much when PD was still here. So if you want to liven things up, start posing pix there again. I don't agree that one person makes or breaks a site. And BTW, i liked the Jonny Ray song best, but keep them coming.

This is about lies told to me by members of this current staff at VPF. About them flying off the handle because of their interpatation of what I said, whick was just plain incorrect.

I don't see why you think I could help you in your beef with the vpf staff. I'm sure there's nothing I could say that would change their minds on the issue. But if it were my decision, not knowing all the facts, I would probably unban you with the understanding that everything that happened in the past stays in the past.
