Stern Solved James Cameron’s Avatar (Stern, 2010) Problem

Dear Avatar Enthusiast

After about 100 games on my brand new machine the balls hit increasingly the plastic edge right after the magnet, instead of moving into the tunnel and hitting the target.

Do you know why that happens and how to solve this problem ?

Thanks a lot for your feedback !

Actually, last night, my sons and myself took the time to look for the root of the problem.

May be it is a hint for other customers as well.

We discovered, that the strong magnet - for whatever reasons - surmounted the playfield for less than 0.1 inch !!

Thus, the balls coming especially from the left flipper experienced this low ridge like a ramp and started to "fly", hitting the plastic edge right over the entrance to the tunnel.

We opened the box and found the screw to adjust the magnet surface with the playfield.

That's it.

odd thing to miss QC, glad ya' found the problem though, now are they ALL like that or just yours? you should post that prob to Stern maybe they ALL went out like that.
