The Multi Prefix Add-On was purchased back in early June and it replaced a different prefix add-on that only listed the prefixes that were available in each of the different forums.
In the Forums and the Resources (Downloads) you can now click on the filter icon to select prefixes that you want to display, here are 2 examples of the VPX filter being used in the Resources and Forums, multiple prefixes can be displayed:

The Add-On has been updated many times since June (including, yesterday) and has another one that needs to be installed for MySQL 8 which is being implemented by our hosting company on 9/3, was notified today. Yikes, these changes are huge and can lead to other non-core add-on's to break, have to start researching.
Prefix descriptions were added in XF recently and they can be powerful, the descriptions can include html with links to the prefix filter, Multi Prefix now only shows the first prefix description if there are many, here's a sample of a prefix description of Electro-Mechanical Machines, I bring this up because for some reason the prefixes aren't clickable on a Resource Overview page but they are on any resource index page like this Original Table Prefix Filter.

Thread starters and Resource adders can now select multiple prefixes for their contributions, simply add or edit existing stuff to include prefixes. Some of the hoped for changes to the add-on included many better templates, (forum and resource category views) changes for a bunch of prefixes, batch functions and more clickable options.
Since June this is still a WIP and we could use any suggestions that you have, the prefix settings are different for the forums and resources, I still need to add the visibility of some prefixes to various forums and/or resource categories and this is the kind of process that should be thought out before re-adjusting. Added the Future Pinball prefix due to this thread, I never thought it was needed (content was already in a FP forum or category) before seeing the link to the P.E.C.M. file in this thread.
Almost everything can be changed for a prefix, display position with categories, defined colors (Thanks Ike) and most importantly whether if it should appear in specified forums and/or resource categories. This is a older post of mine in the Moderators forum that lists the prefixes available in the Forums and the Download Manager, it has changed, the last category is now Future Pinball with FP being added underneath BAM:

The software is pretty awesome and still has some improvements that I'd like to see ( Resource Overview clickable links and multi descriptions), I'd like to thank @xenonph and @GeorgeH for helping with the implementation. This is a ? type of thread, ask away and help us improve!
