Call me bias though I think my bats trump your bats and my scarecrow looks way scarier and somewhat more handsome than your witch, just IMHO...

I had these old pics from the first time I worked on this Halloween logo.
So you thinking bats on upper outer sides, and scarecrow in center?
Or bats on each side of Nudging Necessary!?

I had another thought, maybe a bloody knife might have more wow factor than the wand?
 
They don't give away many free knives either, also not sure if her hand will look holding a knife, whatever you or I find, that fits best be it a wand, knife, sword, whip, sithe, mace or any other instruments of horror!

Actually I am leaning towards the scythe idea as you can render it diagonally through her hand much like the flag poles before.

Why don't you do a halloween theme based on pinball games, like elvira etc. Lots there to work with and match the sites direction.
