Printscreens, Screenshots of FP and BAM

Hi there i know how to do printscreens of many software, with the keyboard key "Prt Sc / PrtScn" after i open the windows software Paint; then into it i press the combination keys "Ctrl+V" wich is paste into Paint. After i "save as" from Paint the photo into an image format.

But there is many softwares that i try, and i also visualise videos that i have seen for instructions. It seem not possible to do printscreens of all? You know when you install any softwares as Bam with FP. First you double-click the setup file. This change the screen (like getting out of the desktop). I then see some screen writen: Do you want to authorize this application? Followed on the same screen; Futurepinball with Bam "with buttons bellow: (Yes / No)".

I want to do some printscreen of this menu writen: Do you want to authorize this application/modifications. But cant figure out how to do it. The only way i have seen possible to do it "but it's real not perfect/even ugly picture". Is simply take an external camera photo and take a photo shot of the computer screen; showing the (Yes/No) question. This printscreen menu image, is part of showing the step by step instructions thing a user see; when a user read and follow step by step images to install FP with Bam.

Is there a free way to do it and legal? Thank's for your time. A+

I don't usually have any problem doing screen shots. I had some difficulty with the first screenshot on this link because the screenshot will not include the cursor.

I added it to this screenshot by making a screenshot of the cursor in my control panel and editing it to paste on top of the original screenshot.

You can make a screenshot of the active window. You do it by clicking on the window and then hold the "Alt" key down while pressing the print screen key.

I try to understand it and try it. But it dont work? I double click on the setup file, then i see the "Do you want to authorize make modification (Yes/No)". The only window button i see is window logo on the keyboard, i then press this keyboard key. The window desktop dont come or others. After i press and hold the "alt key" on the keyboard. Then i press the combination of keys to do printscreen on my keyboard (Fn) and (Prt Sc). Because doing my printscreen i must click on (Fn) key for the printscreen. When it's done i simply click on the (No) of this window "do you want to authorize....". This return me to my desktop window. After i go into the Paint software. Into it i press the "ctrl + v" to paste into Paint. There is nothing that apear?

Here is a great printscreen i have done.

It's only the screen that show the text "Do you want to authorize and do modifications (Yes/No)" that i cant do printscreens? I wonder why?

Thank's for the help @GeorgeH , by doing search there is an windows application that windows already have, i dont know how it is called in english? But in french window it is called: "Capture d'écran et croquis". Just telling for windows 10 french user. You go on the "start menu" on the bottom-left by default, after you go into the scrooling list of softwares you have; you choose the letter C for soft that start with C. You should then find "Capture d'écran et croquis", the logo icon image is like some "cisor into some circle". I think in english version of Windows 10 it is called: "Windows Snipping Tool"?

When i bring out this software i see at the top the menu "New", i also see some shortcut. Maybe in Windows 10 english version it is the same shortcut. "French (Windows Key + Maj + S)", so i think in english it might be: (Windows Key + Shift Key + S" but not sure? This make your mouse cursor transform into some "Cross ( + )". You then create some rectangle box by keeping your mouse button pressed, then dragging the mouse to create the capture zone. This create some "clipboard image". When it is done, it should automaticly put and show some "notification message", clicking on the notification and the image open the software called: "Capture d'écran et croquis". You then from it choose the option (save as), then save your image where you want into your computer.

I hope that the info will help peoples when they want to do some printscreen in Windows 10? Even to show some images about FP and Bam. Maybe peoples could try these shortcuts in Windows 10 (french version/english version), i just wander if it function into other Windows computer??

I have found a great software to do printscreens/screenshots. It is a full free and open source software. Maybe some of you already know this software?
