Oops forgot to mention there is also Bok Choy! :bonk:

Golden nugget mini pumpkins and rock melons transplanted…

Sadly these died in the heatwave... :(

User errors, my original nutrient level was low and in the heat you need to keep the greenhouse open. :bonk:

Is there an advantage to having a greenhouse in warm weather? Most people have greenhouses so the can have plants in the cold.

greenhouse in warm weather?

Reduced harsh direct sunlight, protection from wind and rain, basically a more controllable environment whatever the season.

New 100 watt 10 inch $40 solar ventilation added...

I wondered if it got hot in there. The next thing to add is a heat source in cold weather.

The next thing to add is a heat source in cold weather.

It is unusual for the temperature here to ever fall below 40F in your money, so it's just a matter of closing the ventilation in winter to retain the daytime heat.

It must be nice!

Greenhouse update...

The plants closest to the outside wall look like they are growing faster than the others. Does that side of the greenhouse face north? If so, the plants probably get more sun. You might periodically rotate the containers to make them grow the same amount. Otherwise they look good.

Does that side of the greenhouse face north?

The faster growing plants on the side are facing East, the greenhouse is orientated North/South and gets some morning shade and is in the Southern Hemisphere. It's more a matter of chronological order of germination, also those containers don't move with almost 50 litres of nutrient solution within they weigh over 110lbs in your antiquated system of standards and measures.

Weather report...

New Moon tomorrow, time to sow some more seeds…

My near on two-year-old black widow seeds failed to geminate, whist for the most part my vegetable seeds germinated with the same preparation, so we have some leftover cherry pie to try, with two of those seeds from my last grow.

My mom used to spray tomato blossoms with a hormone spray called "tomato blossom set spray" that would guarantee all the blossoms would set fruit.

You might try laying seeds on some moist paper towels on an aluminum pie pan to see if they sprout better that way.

Root shot of the tomato and cucumber, I have 5 tomatoes set and a dozen more flowers...

I thought it looked like it was ready to pick in the last picture.

Meanwhile... back in the greenhouse, another cucumber near ready, dill to the left, the bees are busy and ‘mini’ golden nugget pumpkins.

Do you eat the pumpkins you grow?
For some reason, I have never cared for pumpkin, squash, or zucchini, yet that was what was grown in our garden every year.
I was also the only one in the family who didn't like watermelon, or any types of melons.
