Man, one thing that always kind of blew me away is that evidently LOADS of heavy metal musicians come from a traditional classical music BG, and indeed you can even hear it at times in their song structure and chord-choosing, even as they play it fast and bad-ass as hell, lol.

I got about halfway through at first attempt, but I'm fond of language / history stuff like that.

Hmm, I think I learned my first Scottish word when I watched Star Trek in the early 70's. The name of the commanding officer was also the word for "church" in old Scottish, evidently.
