What music are you listening to?

There's hope for everyone. I was surprised when Lady Gaga started singing without all the gimmicks and was amazed with her voice.
I'm still on the fence there, sometimes Gaga is breakthrough, and other times a tune leaves me with "gah!"

There's one thing I'm looking for, for the St. Pat's shows next Thurs: a version of "Arthur McBride" by Christy Moore. Have it on a 40-year-old tape, but that's not fit for broadcast!

I agree but there are times when her voice is amazing. There are brief moments when Geese's lead singer sounds really good. He needs to enunciate, stop the gimmicks and just let his true voice come out. That said, it can be difficult to do if you are shy because it feels like you're baring your soul to everyone.

Knew I'd miss the shows last night but I recorded them with the VLC player, will try to listen this weekend, like the playlists, 2 of my suggestions made the cut!

Just wanted to Thank @Isaac Sauvage for posting Reflections Of My Life, forgot about it and loved it!

Getting a laugh about the link in the playlist for the 10PM show about Sophia Loren...:boobies::gone::headphones:

Another one remembered in the UK back in 1992, when the lead singer dropped her pants live on tv near the end.
Now noone would bat an eyelid lol
I miss the days of The Word, what a show.

Thanks Jon!
Actually it kinda pisses me off that I only learned 50+ years later about little masterpieces like that one and the Spooky Tooth song I posted before with Dream Weaver's Gary Wright on organ.

(like it, FreeBally?)

Where I grew up in the States (Philly) we had these classic 'album-format' rock stations WMMR and WYSP that innerduced me to a world of great rock from years gone by, but as I would later learn, were disappointingly tight on song rotations, pretty much striving for every dollar in revenue. (now where have you heard that before?) What's more, Howard Stern in NYC was beginning to crush our native 'Morning Zoo,' which kinda made the general situation worse.

Anyway...

Yes! I finally got off my pathetic arse and started listening to Cousin Nubbins' Culture Bubble show, starting with the last ep. (am I understanding correctly that the archive URL is: https://wayofm.org/shows/culture-bubbles)

So far I'm 25m in and find it nicely enjoyable so far. The show seemed to kick off with a King Crimson-style jam, I loved the awesome Texas duet in song ~three, and as a reggae / fusion fan, I'm loving the next song, which seems to mashup reggae and South Indian vocals! <3

Okay now I forget-- is the total track list specified somewhere on the source site?

Master Stevie and Mister Prince (not the better clip)

Incognito,a little great group

Dayum, haven't heard that classic since forever!

@Popotte,
I understand you don't like to post French songs, but could you make an exception for me? I LOVE French songs! <3

Well... Why I don't post french song, good question. More seriously and for example, Françoise Hardy "Message personnel": you have to understand french in order to appreciate the song (like, for poor french, it is difficult to understand the full meaning of Joni Mitchell (or others) song).
"We" have a lot of good singers in France: Alain Souchon, Francis Cabrel, Julien Clerc, ... And a lot of died singers: Jacques Brel, Claude Nougaro, ...
I just post a Francis Cabrel song (the sound is good but not the images(?)). I think you have to really understand the text in order to like this song.
In an other hand, I can create a post about french singers.

You're not wrong, but you're not RIGHT either, mssr.

Something that's typically baffled me...

Charline Mignot!

I like my bit of French singing too , she has very nice voice.

Since we're in a french wave of music, why not add a new genre to it because not all music needs lyrics :p
