I seen only one episode and that was long ago I don't even remember but the episode it was at some Military School and someone was killed by a cannon ball and Columbo finds a torn shirt or something. When I have the time I will try to watch that episode and some other episodes.I could watch Columbo over and over even though i have watched every episode numerous times.
Alright, here I go all sounding like a know-it-all (or complete dumbass?), but a few years ago I was gushing about Columbo to a patent-lawyer guy at the local sushi place.I could watch Columbo over and over even though i have watched every episode numerous times.

He said-- "you know, the whole model of that show was based on Crime & Punishment, right?
And I just said like Scooby-Doo...."herrh!" I mean, sweet Jesus, I'd read C&P fricken' decades before, and couldn't quite reconcile it.
Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but:

Bah... great show, either way!
Haha so, got a favorite ep?
Me, I personally like the FOUR he did with Patrick McGoohan, i.e. "The Prisoner" or "Secret Agent Man."
Great eppie! How to dial a murder, is one of my favs.
Wait, who are you talking about, exactly? Because I don't think McGoohan was in Harry Potter.I recently saw this show on PBS station, and was trying to remember where I saw this actor before.
Was thinking maybe Harry Potters step dad, but then thought no, it can't be him.
Then I thought maybe it was the guy on Ace Ventura Pet Detective 2. Not for sure though.
EDIT:
Just looked it up, and he is Weasleys Dad from Harry Potter movie!
Knew I saw him on Harry Potter!
Great eppie!
Bad guy Nicol Williamson also played Merlin in Excalibur (1980). Best Merlin performance I've ever seen, giving it some real 'Celtic character' I thought.

I think the last role I saw him in was as the bad guy's leprous father in Braveheart.
Oh wow, didn't know they made a show about the stories!I was talking about a show called "Father Brown" that was on PBS station. (You left link to book above.)
I guess it was Mark Williams who played the character.
He also plays Weasleys father on Harry Potter movies.

Vera is a nearly retired detective chief inspector of the fictional Northumberland & City Police, who is obsessive about her work. She plods along in a disheveled state, but has a calculating mind and despite her irascible personality, she cares deeply about her work and colleagues. She often proves her superior skills by picking up small errors in her team members' thought processes. Vera forms a close relationship with sergeants Joe Ashworth and Aiden Healy. -WP
