Having an issue downloading any PinEvent Tables. I can download the ZIP files but when I go to Unzip them they are all corrupt. Using WinRAR and have unblocked each before unzipping

Try using 7zip.

Don't click on the green Download button and don't choose "download as a zip".

Right-click on the zip file, then choose Download, then "Standard download"

If you are using an old version of WinRAR, you should try 7-zip. It is free, open source and works well on all the compressed files I have ever tried:

why bother using a RaR file.
it would be much easier to use the compressed zipped folder then use the extractor on the PC.
right click on the zipped folder>left click "extract all" and it's done.

The download is a zip file. A regular zip file. The same that is used by almost every download on this site and others.

Everyone should have the latest 7zip installed and use that to extract zip files (like George mentioned). Even if you have the newest WinRar installed, use the latest 7zip to ensure you will be able extract any zip file correctly.



For the download of this table (and any others on Mega), DO NOT click on the green Download button and DO NOT choose "download as a zip".

from most DLs here at PN the files were compressed zipped.
it's been awhile since i have DLd anything.... don't recall having a choice of RaR or zipped to DL
i'll take the zipped folder DL.

The info I have provided multiple times is correct and clear to anyone who actually reads it.

Given the many uploads I have over many years and given they have been downloaded many 1000's of times.... I think I know what I'm doing (as does everyone else who has been downloading them for many years).

Please carry this on to another topic.. and keep my download topics focused on the content of the download.

yeah i know it's free.

not all DLs here are RaR..
it's easier to use the extractor in the PC for a compressed zipped folder so i don't need to keep a RAR extactor.

WinRAR is not free.
7zip is free, and it also extracts RAR files, and many more formats.
Some people choose to compress their files with RAR, because it makes the file size smaller. (Smaller than what regular zipping is capable of.)
Here is list of what 7zip can extract.

• 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP and WIM
• Unpacking only: APFS, AR, ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DMG, EXT, FAT, GPT, HFS, IHEX, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, QCOW2, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, UDF, UEFI, VDI, VHD, VHDX, VMDK, XAR and Z.

Now lets not clutter Terryreds thread here arguing why people don't use regular zip compression.
It is their choice.
