At around 8am GMT when trying to access VPF I got a page saying the domain had recently been bought or transfered and to come back soon. :blink:
I was at work otherwise I would have come here and asked wtf and posted a screenie. As it is it may just be too much traffic since that magazine article.

That's not good and has never happened before AJ's recent server move. This site has offered bandwidth and technical assistance many times in the past and the offers still stand, we can't allow VPF to be down for over 4 days!

we probably had several thousand MaximumPC readers download all 670 table files in the last week

Guess AJ did not finish the upgrade
Guess AJ should have used a better (rather than free) download manager

I guess AJ should keep the table downloads down again. He should finish it up, back with the good old 5 table limit. I mean, that limit was OK. I usually don't play more than 5 tables a day.

But you could only download 5 tables per day

Well yes, but almost every day I get stuck on one table, say - Big Hurt. Then I play that table for 4 hours straight, trying to get a high score. That's why I only play a few tables a day.

Just Guessing is not good, VPF has a miserable history with download limits...
Welcome to the real world, don't charge us for downloads and why is the site down? Somebody fucked up and a LOT of possible new VP enthusiasts are being denied.

It's not about you, the limits have sucked for many years and needed to be changed, we are paying for this server and it's losing new community members every minute.
