Had to post this as well LOL, the well remembered Top of The Pops appearance in the UK.
Producers agreed to let Kurt Cobain sing over a backing track, meaning his voice would be live, but the instrumental part of the song would be a recording. Kurt was having none of it.

Thanks, try to pick topics which have a presence in music from wayback days, because those're the ones which'll have songs written about them today. Thanks SOz, have a bit of Pogues, and they seem well fit to my ears! Early thinking is the show'll rotate from traditional reels & jigs, then Irish punk, then a startling "mouth music" tune, then back to a jig.

Pretty nice! All over the place on style, kinda like sunshine reggae meets angsty emoboy. If that band could tighten up to execute tempo changes in unison, they may be onto something. Or maybe their other stuff does that already, don't know :biggrin:

Agreed, but seems like that's the gimmick he's going for. It's like one certain female singer... when B. Spears was in fashion, this other singer sounded just like her. Then when Regina Spektor got famous, this other singer's new stuff sounded just like Regina. Lately she's moved from imitating Billie Eilish to The Taylor Who Must Not Be Named. So that guy fronting Geese sounds like he's trying to ape various different influences, until he settles on one.
 
I failed to mention. All of them are about 22 years old from New York City. It will be interesting to see what they do when they get older.

There's hope for everyone. I was surprised when Lady Gaga started singing without all the gimmicks and was amazed with her voice.
